Oh. My. Goodness. Shopping with my cousins, aunts, mom, and sister on Black Friday was awesome. I laughed and giggled my way through the day.
After finishing up at Belk's we ran down the road to ToyRUs which was not busy at all- surprise! I found the DVD I've been looking for and everyone else came out with some fun items for the children in their lives.
Then we headed back to the mall, where we laughed hysterically over a whole bathroom incident. Long story short - never, ever go on and on about how terrible a bathroom smells until you've checked to see that there is no one in the stalls who is *perhaps* making that terrible smell.I was dry heaving the minute I walked in...but that's nothing new, I hate public restrooms. Bleh.
Jennifer, Kelli, and I try on these super cute caps which I think might be for adults but seriously look like kidswear to me. Fun and cute!
About 8:30am, we met up with Mom, Hannah, my aunt Thane, and my cousin Sonya. Here, we are all laughing because it looks like everyone else is shopping like crazy and I have nothing. I was on a very tight budget that day, but I did shop! At this point, I think I had put my stuff in the car before shopping for more.
My beautiful cousin, Sonya (Kelli's mom) taking a coffee break with my Mom and Hannah. Whew, we needed to rest our feet.
Mom will not like this photo, but I think it's great. We went in Charlotte Russe and Mom kept picking up this cropped tops and saying how much she liked them. Just before this photo was snapped my sister said something about us all being closet floozies. And of course Mom had to explain that she meant the top would be cute over something else, like a burka. And Mom, I kinda do like that top. Over a black tank with jeans:)
I had never been in a Charlotte Russe store before but I'm in love now. There were a pair of jeans in there that I swear are the "traveling pants of the sisterhood." (I love that book way too much) My cousin Sonya, myself, and my sister could all wear the same size and we ALL looked good in them. We are all different sizes and body types. I'm definitely gonna get a pair at some point. Super cute.
I think this next photo was in Macy's. Hannah and I decided to try these sweaters on over our clothes in the middle of the store. We got some weird looks from people:) I could barely get that hip band over my chest and I thought for sure someone would have to cut me out of that sweater. It's a no-buy for me:) Notice the sides of my striped vest hanging out, real classy.
We all met for lunch at Rafferty's. Well, everyone except Tina, my cousin Michael's wife. She shopped all night and went home to go to bed about the time we were all getting going. Next year, if we do this again, she is definitely going to be talked into meeting us for lunch:)
After lunch we headed back out to shop, mostly to Barnes & Nobles and Old Navy. The rest of these photos are out of order.
I think this was Charlotte Russ...or maybe another store....we went in so many. Jennifer is a petite girl, so these boots were super tall on her. She didn't feel like taking all the stuffing out to try it on, even though the sales guy tried to talk her into it. I really want to know who would buy these and what they would wear them with. You know the photo game that I play with my sister sometimes? Well, we played it several times over the weekend. I'll show you more of those later, but I have to leave you with Katrina and Jennifer's nauseous look. Hilarious!
We finished shopping around 3pm. I had so much fun! But the day wasn't over yet....Friday afternoon and evening was a blast also...more to come:)
